Terms of service

The rules for using Synteum: the website, the free Synteum web app that runs in it, and, where the service offers them, accounts and platform features. Written to be read. Nothing in here limits rights you hold under mandatory law.

Effective 18 July 2026 Version 1.3 Provider: SZEINER s.r.o.

At a glance

  • The website and the web app are free of charge. Today there are no accounts, no paid plans, and no analytics.
  • Clauses about accounts, paid plans, and analytics are marked Where offered and apply only where and when the service actually offers the feature.
  • What you create in the app stays in your browser, under your control. Where accounts exist, your content remains yours and you can always export it.
  • Accepting these terms is never consent to cookies, storage, analytics, or marketing. Those choices live in the storage settings.
  • Complaints, content reports, and objections go to [email protected]. Security reports go to [email protected].

What these terms cover

These terms govern the Synteum website, the free web app embedded in it, and, where the service offers them, Synteum accounts and platform features such as registration, sign-in, paid plans, and user content.

The platform is intended for people aged 16 and over. That is the minimum age to use it, with or without an account. Anything offered for purchase additionally requires you to be 18, as set out under Paid features.

Live today, checked against the code on the effective date

Offered: the public website and the Synteum web app, which runs entirely in your browser.

Not offered yet: accounts and sign-in (the sign-in preview is disabled and submits nothing), paid plans and checkout, analytics, and any server-side storage of what you do here.

Clauses below about features that are not live carry a Where offered mark: they apply only where and when the service actually offers the feature, and nothing in them means the feature exists today. Future separately priced offerings may come with supplemental terms presented alongside them.

Your rights come first

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights you hold under mandatory law, including EU and Czech consumer law. Where any clause conflicts with mandatory law, the law prevails and the clause applies only to the extent the law permits.

Your content and data

Everything you create in the app stays in this browser, under your control. We receive none of it. The privacy notice lists everything this site does with data, in full.

Where the service offers accounts, content you create remains yours. We take only the non-exclusive licence strictly necessary to operate the service for you: to store, display, back up, and process your content so the features you use work. The licence covers nothing else and ends when you delete the content or the account.

We never block you from accessing, copying, or exporting data you provided or generated. Exporting before deletion is described under Deleting an account.

Accounts

Where offered · not live today

Where the service offers accounts:

  • Give accurate information when registering and keep it current.
  • Keep your sign-in credentials confidential.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. An account at 16 gives access only to the features the service offers free of charge, such as free workspaces, as and while we offer them. Purchases require you to be 18. No account is needed to use the website and the web app.
  • We may ask you to verify your email address, or pass an equivalent check, before the account activates. Verification and other automated messages come from [email protected], an address that does not receive replies.
  • One account per person, unless we permit otherwise.
  • You are responsible for activity under your credentials, except where it results from a security failure on our side.

Deleting an account

Where offered · not live today

Where the service offers accounts, you can delete yours at any time, from within the service or by writing to [email protected].

Before erasure you can export the content you provided or created: free of charge, within a reasonable time, in a commonly used machine-readable format. A disabled or suspended account does not block that export. After deletion, erasure and any legally required retention follow the privacy notice.

Analytics

Where offered · not live today

The app does not use analytics unless you accept cookies, and no analytics runs today. Where the service offers analytics, it runs solely under the consent-gated analytics purpose managed by the storage dialog and the cookies and storage page: those surfaces and the privacy notice gain that purpose in the same release that ships it. Declining or withdrawing that consent keeps the full app and service available, and these terms never count as that consent.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. Do not abuse or overload it, interfere with its operation or with other people's use, probe or bypass its security, or submit content that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.

For content you submit where the service stores it, you warrant that it is lawful and does not infringe third-party rights.

Reports and moderation

We have no general obligation to monitor content on the service, and we do not proactively search it. Moderation is driven by reports.

Anyone can report content by writing to [email protected], or through an in-product report control where the service offers one. On a report, we review the content and may block or remove it if it violates these terms or the law. The affected account receives the reasons and can object at the same address.

Acting in good faith on reports creates no general duty to monitor.

Suspension and removal

Where accounts exist, we may suspend, block, or remove one only on serious grounds:

  • a material breach of these terms,
  • unlawful content or unlawful use,
  • abuse or a security risk,
  • a legal obligation requiring it.

The response is proportionate: where appropriate, a warning or a temporary suspension comes before permanent removal. Grave or repeated violations can mean immediate permanent action. You receive a statement of the reasons and can object via [email protected].

Your right to export your content and your data-protection rights survive any suspension or removal, as described under Deleting an account.

Our rights, your freedoms

The website, the web app, the platform, their code and design, and the Synteum name remain the provider's intellectual property. These terms give you no rights in them beyond using the service. Do not copy the service or its code, or reverse engineer them, except where the law permits it.

Nothing in this section, or anywhere in these terms, restricts what the law protects even against a contract:

  • creating something independently,
  • using information that is not a trade secret,
  • using skills and experience honestly acquired in your work,
  • workers' rights to information and consultation,
  • freedom of expression and information,
  • revealing wrongdoing in the public interest.

Security reports

[email protected] is the channel for reporting security vulnerabilities and privacy concerns, and, where the service ever includes AI features, harmful behaviour of those features. Good-faith reports are handled confidentially and without reprisal.

We remediate reported vulnerabilities and provide security fixes free of charge. Where historical versions that are no longer supported are published, they are clearly marked as unsupported.

How this site is built and secured is described factually in the privacy notice. Synteum claims no certification against any security or AI-management standard.

Liability

We are fully liable where the law does not allow liability to be limited: for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for harm to life, body, or health, and for your remedies under mandatory consumer law where the service does not perform as owed.

Beyond that, and only to the extent the law permits for a service provided free of charge, our liability is limited to damage that was reasonably foreseeable.

Whether the service conforms to what was agreed is never ours alone to decide, and these terms never make us the sole interpreter of their meaning.

Changes to these terms

These terms change only for a valid reason, stated with the change: a change in the law, a change in the service or its features, or a security or abuse-prevention need.

We give clear advance notice before a change takes effect, at no cost to you. If you do not accept a change, you are free to stop using the service. Where you hold an account, you can terminate it free of charge before the change applies, and, where the law grants it, within 30 days of notice of an adverse change to a digital service supplied to you.

Material changes bump the version listed under Document versions.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer, this choice never deprives you of protections granted by mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live.

If a clause turns out invalid or unenforceable, the remaining clauses stay in force, and what the law provides applies in its place.
